When can we move in?

This delightful Grade II listed timber-framed thatched cottage has just come on the market in Evesham, Worcestershire, for £795,000 — and it could now be yours.

Walnut Thatch is a prominent property, with beautiful origins dating back to the 16th century. With bags of space, a wealth of period features and uninterrupted countryside views, it's the perfect place for escaping the woes of everyday. While the current owner had the property re-thatched in 2006 with wheat straw, it now requires a little re-ridging.

Enter through the solid front door and you'll find traditional fireplaces, ledge and brace doors, leaded windows, a family room with flagstone flooring, and a cosy sitting room with its own roaring Inglenook fireplace. We especially like the little sun-soaked window seat here, perfect for reading your favourite novel.

Elsewhere in the cottage, you'll also discover a fitted kitchen with granite worktops and integrated Miele appliances, a practical pantry, study, four bedrooms, a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower enclosure. You might expect English cottages to be small and diminutive, but this one is surprisingly spacious.

The south and west facing gardens are idyllic, with all-day sunshine, tons of plants, picture-perfect lawns, a gravel driveway, oak frame carport, and a secure single timber garage. Whether you're an entertainer at heart or want somewhere to unwind, the outdoor space certainly doesn't disappoint.

Walnut Thatch is situated in the heart of the desirable village of Ashton-under-Hill, on the southern side of Bredon Hill. Incredibly private and peaceful, it has plenty of footpaths, bridleways and charming picnic spots for all to enjoy.

This property is currently on the market for £795,000 via Knight Frank.
