Cole and Kelsea Moscatel Buy Dallas House

Based primarily in the well-to-do far western suburbs of Los Angeles, entrepreneurial social media mavens and reality TV personalities Cole and Kelsea Moscatel, who can claim about 3 million Instagram followers between them, have put down some residential real estate roots in Texas with the $2.3 million purchase of a Dallas mansion.

For those who do not recognize their name, the Moscatels put themselves in the public eye a few years ago as stars of the self-produced YouTube reality series "The Moscatels," in which they billed themselves as "a family full of luxury, love and drama." They are also the co-founders of Snob World, a boutique luxury travel consultancy and concierge service that aims to pamper the one percenters of the world with things like last-minute yacht rentals and hard-to-come-by courtside basketball tickets.

Given their self-documented penchant for conspicuously consuming all the finer things in life — their social media accounts depict them jetting around in private planes, scooting about in customized luxury cars, and cladding themselves in designer clothes — it's not a surprise the Moscatels have chosen a stately residence in Preston Hollow, arguably the Big D's finest neighborhood. Indeed, some of the many other past and present financial aristocrats who have made their home in the leafy nabe include Ross Perot, T. Boone Pickens, George W. Bush, Mark Cuban, and makeup mogul Mary Kay.

Marketed as "ready for renovation or new build" and fronted by a double-height portico held aloft by eight slender columns, the young parents of two small children plan to completely revamp the 7,800-square-foot traditional home, as well as the one-acre creek-side grounds. Per a person in a position to know, they plan to use the property as a deluxe home away from home.

On top of its half dozen bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two powder rooms, notable features of the elevator-equipped white-brick mansion include ample formal living and dining rooms, a marble-floored double-height foyer with a Chevy-sized chandelier and a prom-picture-worthy curved staircase, and an also double-height wood-paneled den with a wet bar accented by a curved wall of smoked mirrors.

Back in California, the Moscatels continue to shack up in the swanky 11,000-square-foot Calabasas mansion they picked up about a year and a half ago for $4.4 million.
