Expanding the possibilities with Atlantic Kitchens, Bathrooms & Flooring

Creating a perfect kitchen or bathroom in a remodel reflects the quality of craftsmanship and service a company puts into their work. Rudy Levy, owner/operator of Atlantic Kitchens, Bathrooms & Flooring, approaches all his jobs with a sense of perfection.

Most of the work for the company is done in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach on the ocean and along A1A. This makes the approach much more streamlined and effective, according to Levy.

"I don't leave anything unfinished. Everything's done perfectly to my liking. I will say that I always like to do the best job I can for myself because I know if I see it as perfect, I know my customer will be happy. And customer satisfaction is one of the most important things for me."

Levy started his business with Specialist Painting. While that part of the company still functions, he opened a new division, licensed and insured – Atlantic Kitchens, Bathrooms & Flooring – which does all new flooring, all new bathrooms, new tiles, new bathtubs, new showers, new vanities, new accessories and new lighting in addition to all electrical and plumbing.

Levy says when it comes to the designs, they always do an architectural plan to make sure the kitchen design and bathroom design matches with what the client wants, but also the guidelines of the city.

"If they want to move the sink or if they want to make some changes with the appliances, we can reconfigure the electrical and the plumbing so that it suits their needs. Sometimes people like to make kitchens bigger. We can open up walls. We can move walls. We can do structural work."

A lot of the work Levy does is in condos. "But even in condos, we can reconfigure walls. Sometimes we can make small changes in the plumbing, but a lot of times there's main lines that run in the buildings that we have to follow so it's a little bit trickier."

One of the most important areas to remodel, the bathroom, has changed in recent years, said Levy. In the past, most had a bathtub. Now a lot of bathtub space today is being converted for stand-up showers. Levy said all the tile for stand-up showers is anti-slip and usually set within glass enclosures, which makes it more efficient. "It's also much better looking. We can either do a half glass or we can do sliding doors so there are a lot of options."

What Levy says is becoming very popular now are lighted mirrors, where the lights are built into the mirror. At the last job his company did, a mirror with lights built-in all the way around was installed. "With the new glass enclosures and the lighted mirror, along with the new vanities with all the new faucets and new trim, it really enhances it and gives it a more brand new, modern look."

In terms of flooring, Levy said many people are all looking for one flooring material for their entire space. They no longer want to mix laminates and tiles. They want a uni-floor throughout the space that flows very smoothly from one room to another.

Levy reaffirms that his company does everything. The Atlantic brand is kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring, and Specialist Painting does all the painting, so it's two companies in one, committed to doing the best work possible.
