Rutch Outdoor Community School gets new fence, more space for garden
JACKSONVILLE, Ore. -- Isaac Brandenberger, a former Ruch Outdoor Community School student and current North Medford High School Eagle Scout, has returned to his alma mater to double the size of the school's garden and place a new fence around it.
This is all a part of Brandenberger's Eagle Project and he was helped by funds from the Ruch Outdoor Community School (ROCS) Parent Teacher Organization and "A Greater Applegate."
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday.
The Garden will be put to use in a ROCS project-based learning curriculum. Every Friday, a member of Americorps will come out to the school and teach about seed propagation and other facets of horticulture and plant biology.
